Open Access & Licensing Policy

The Journal of Intelligent and Sustainable Systems (JISS) is a fully Gold Open Access journal.

We believe that the rapid, barrier-free dissemination of research is essential for global sustainability and technological advancement.

1. Free Access to Content

All articles published in JISS are made available immediately upon publication. There are no subscription fees or "paywalls."

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

2. Licensing (Creative Commons)

Unless otherwise stated, all content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Under this license, others are free to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Requirement for Reuse: The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms, specifically
Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.

3. Copyright Retention

In accordance with modern "Open Science" standards:

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work without restrictions.
  • Authors grant INSS Press and JISS a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
  • Authors grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its original authors and citation details are identified.
