Peer Review & Ethics

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are subject to a rigorous and fair blind peer-review system. Accepted papers will appear online within two weeks, followed by printed hard copy. The Journal of Health Geography and Public Health (JHGPH) employs a highly rigorous blind peer-review process to assure that published papers are scientifically accurate, pertinent, novel, and significant.

Authors must disclose all conflicts, affiliations, and financial associations so that published content is unbiased. Manuscripts are submitted and processed online with the support of Journal Editors and Reviewers.

Editorial Decisions

After initial editorial screening for scope and quality, suitable submissions are sent to reviewers. Based on reviewer reports, the editor may issue decisions such as: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Authors should address all reviewer and editor comments in a response letter when revising.

Ethical Responsibilities

  • Conflicts of Interest: Declare all potential conflicts for every author.
  • Human Subjects & Ethics Approval: Provide statements of ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
  • Data Integrity: Report methods and data honestly; fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are unacceptable.
  • Authorship: Limit authorship to those who made substantial contributions; acknowledge others appropriately.
