Publication Ethics & Misconduct
IJNMP is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in scholarly publishing. All parties—authors, reviewers, and editors—are expected to uphold ethical practices.
Authors
- Submit original work not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
- Ensure accurate citation of prior work and avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
- List as co-authors only those who made substantial contributions; acknowledge others appropriately.
- Disclose all funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.
- Provide ethics approval and informed consent statements for studies involving human participants, and appropriate care and use statements for animal studies.
Reviewers
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts and reviews.
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect impartiality.
Editors
- Make fair, unbiased decisions based on scholarly merit and reviewer reports.
- Ensure confidentiality of submissions and reviewer identities in the double-blind process.
- Take action in cases of suspected misconduct, following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
Cases of research or publication misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, unethical research) may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of institutions/funders.
